Yelp has released its 2025 Top 100 Places to Eat list, spotlighting everything from food trucks and fast-casual gems to fine dining standouts. The list was created from restaurant reviews, ratings, and activity, then further curated by community managers and Yelp's "trend expert."
Peruvian Cuisine In Dutch Country
Chellas Arepa Kitchen in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, was ranked No. 5 in the nation, standing out for its Peruvian-inspired arepas stuffed with options like honey-roasted BBQ pork and chimichurri chicken. Run by siblings Diego and Lewis Quiroz, the stationary food truck has been a local favorite since 2018.
The menu also includes other South American favorites like yuca fries, sweet plantains topped with cotija cheese, and pineapple-glazed Inca sprouts.
"These servings were huge!" one reviewer said. "We were blown away by how flavorful everything was. Absolute perfection!"
Special Seafood Spots
Georgetown Seafood in Washington, DC, came in at No. 16 on Yelp's list. The restaurant on Potomac Street NW offers fresh, high-quality dishes inspired by the owners' passion for coastal flavors.
Gohan Japanese Cuisine in Southington, Connecticut, was ranked 20th. The Queen Street sushi destination is known for high-quality Japanese cuisine and a broad menu of expertly crafted dishes.
Maryland Mobile Eats
DMV Taqueria in Columbia, Maryland, earned the No. 30 spot. The food truck is dedicated to high-quality tacos, quesadillas, and empanadas made with locally sourced ingredients.
Garden State's Best
Three New Jersey restaurants also made it on Yelp's list.
At No. 47, Tim's Po-Boys and Wings in Hawthorne brings a taste of New Orleans to North Jersey, serving gumbo, jambalaya, fried seafood platters, and BBQ specialties. In 62nd place, Fresh Tiki Bar is a must-visit in Somerville for artisan ice cream sundaes, gourmet ice cream sandwiches, and waffle wands.
Kenilworth is home to Cha Cha Cha Cuban Cafe, coming in 79th place. The spot featured on Telemundo and the Food Network is known for its Ropa Vieja sandwiches, Cubanos, and various types of empanadas, including vegan options.
Big City Bites
Cha Menya in the Douglaston section of Queens was ranked 66th. The Northern Boulevard spot serves many styles of rich, flavorful ramen alongside a curated selection of Japanese teas.
Aunts et Uncles in Brooklyn came in at No. 72. The stylish, plant-based café in Flatbush blends Caribbean flavors with an eco-conscious approach, featuring dishes like the "So Simple Chicken Sandwich," which has crispy oyster mushrooms in a hot maple syrup sauce.
Philadelphia's Fat Salmon also made the list at No. 90. The Walnut Street spot was celebrated for its creative sushi rolls, including toppings like pico de gallo, mussel tempura, and pineapple cilantro dressing.
Two other Northeast restaurants made the Yelp rankings: 1608 Crafthouse (68th) in Virginia Beach, Virginia, and Prescott's Provisions (100th), in Buffalo, New York.
